Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how AmyConnects Inc. ("AmyConnects," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data in connection with AmyConnects’s products, services, websites, and applications (collectively, the "Services"). We may provide additional or different disclosures where required by law. This Privacy Notice does not address our practices relating to job applicants, employees, or other employment-related individuals, nor data that is deidentified or publicly available under applicable law. This Privacy Notice is not a contract and does not create legal rights beyond those provided by law.

Our Collection and Use of Personal Data

The categories of personal data we collect depend on how you interact with our Services. You may provide personal data directly when you create an account, connect communications or calendars, initiate interactions, contact support, or otherwise use the Services.

Important Consent Principle: AmyConnects does not contact third parties, access communications, or share personal data without the explicit consent of the user who initiates the interaction and, where applicable, the consent of the recipient.

We also collect certain information automatically when you interact with our Services and may receive information from third parties, as described below.

Personal Data Provided by Individuals

We collect the following categories of personal data that individuals choose to provide:

  • Contact Information: Including first and last name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and communication preferences. We use this information to provide the Services, communicate with you, and honor your preferences.
  • Account Information: Including name, email address, phone number, authentication credentials or one-time passcodes, and usage information. We use this information to administer accounts, provide the Services, and offer customer support.
  • Customer Content: Including communications, instructions, scheduling preferences, and other information you choose to input, upload, transmit, or make available through the Services. We use this content solely to provide and improve the Services and carry out your requests.
  • Sensitive Information: Including payment information and any sensitive information that may appear in communications you choose to connect. We process such information only as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, and protect security.
  • Payment Information: Processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. AmyConnects does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Feedback and Support Information: Including communications with support teams, chat interactions (including AI-assisted chat), emails, or text messages where permitted by law.

Initiated Connections and Consent-Based Messaging

AmyConnects enables users ("Initiators") to request that Amy, our AI-powered assistant, help coordinate communication with another individual ("Receiver"). When an Initiator chooses to connect with a Receiver who has not previously communicated with Amy, AmyConnects does not independently contact the Receiver. Instead:

  • We provide the Initiator with a pre-filled draft message that the Initiator may choose to send themselves.
  • This message explains who Amy is, the purpose of the request, and asks the Receiver for explicit permission for Amy to communicate with them directly.
  • The Initiator remains fully in control of whether to send, edit, or decline to send the message.
  • Amy will only communicate directly with a Receiver if and after the Receiver affirmatively consents. Until such consent is received, AmyConnects does not initiate direct messaging, store ongoing communication data, or engage the Receiver.

Data Processed for Initiated Connections

In this context, AmyConnects may process:

  • The Initiator’s contact information and instructions,
  • The Receiver’s contact information as provided by the Initiator,
  • The content of the draft invitation message,
  • Any communications exchanged after consent is provided.

This data is used solely to facilitate the requested connection and provide the Services.

SMS Messaging Consent and Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from AmyConnects, you expressly consent to receive text messages from AmyConnects, including messages sent by or on behalf of Amy, our AI-powered assistant, for purposes related to the Services. These messages may include coordination messages, confirmations, reminders, responses to requests you initiate, and service-related notifications.

How You Opt In. You opt in to SMS communications by voluntarily providing your phone number through our website, application, or other authorized interfaces and affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages in connection with your use of the Services. Where applicable, additional consent may be requested before Amy communicates directly with another individual.

Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your activity and interactions with the Services.

Opt-Out. You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at support@amyconnects.ai. After you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you re-opt in.

Help. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact support@amyconnects.ai.

No Condition of Purchase. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Services.

Data Use and Sharing. SMS consent and opt-in information are used solely to provide the Services and communicate with you as requested. We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in information or phone numbers with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Carrier Disclaimer. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-Out and Revocation

Receivers may decline, ignore, or revoke consent at any time. If a Receiver opts out or requests that Amy stop communicating with them, we will honor that request and cease communication, subject to legal requirements.

Explicit Consent and No Unapproved Outreach

  • AmyConnects does not reach out to contacts or third parties without explicit user-initiated action and consent,
  • Share personal information about users or their contacts without authorization,
  • Send messages on a user’s behalf without the user’s direction,
  • Store or use contact information for outreach purposes beyond what the user has requested.

All interactions facilitated by Amy are consent-based and user-controlled.

Personal Data Automatically Collected

We and our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, interaction logs, and approximate location. This information is used to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

Personal Data from Other Sources

We may receive personal data from:

  • Service providers (e.g., authentication, analytics, payments),
  • Connected services you authorize (e.g., email or calendar),
  • Other users, only where relevant to a user-initiated and consented interaction.

Additional Uses of Personal Data

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services,
  • Communicate with users,
  • Prevent fraud and secure systems,
  • Comply with legal obligations,
  • Enforce our Terms of Service,
  • Train AI models except where Maximum Privacy or similar controls are enabled.

Our Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose personal data:

  • To service providers acting on our behalf,
  • To comply with legal obligations,
  • In connection with business transactions,
  • With your explicit consent.

We do not disclose personal data for outreach or coordination purposes without user authorization.

Your Privacy Choices

You may manage:

  • Email and SMS preferences,
  • Push notifications,
  • Connected services,
  • Consent withdrawal by contacting us.

Children’s Personal Data

Our Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

Automated Processing

We may use automated processing to provide Services, but not for decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Security of Personal Data

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, though no system is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
